There was still part of the pad stuck to the saddlebag, the plastic piece pulled from the sticky pad. I used window cleaner to clean the surface.

I'll have to bump up in size here and give it a whirl. Thank you

It takes a little practice the first time around. Put the loom on the wire before installing it. The ends will want to fray quickly when cut without a hot knife. You can use a small wire tie or a piece of shrink on the ends to keep them and in place.
Thank you. Gonna order some now. I want to make this new install look as professional as i can. Gonna need all the help I can get lol. My last install looked clean, but didn't have any loom.

Hope this didn't get to far off from the original post.

That's a very clean install.

How did you like the DA 800.4?

The zip tie holders I have used eventually came unglued from my saddlebags. Maybe I had too much tension in the wire, but i didn't think so.

I never use it for the power wires. Not a bad Idea to, just use power wires that have plenty of insulation. I use the loom for airlines, speaker wires, exposed wires, and bundles of small awg wires. I would still use the sticky pad zip tie blocks. The loom was just for wire routing. The stuff does fray when cut, but they sell some that does very little. I don't waste the extra money on it though. I just use a small torch on the end after cutting.

That's the 800.2 and I really liked it to push the HSK165XLS and MLK165.3 components i had (had it dialed down to about 230 watts a side). Very clean and warm sounding amp. We were gonna use on the new build, but decided to put it up for sale to help offset the cost of painting the new lids.

Right on topic. I like using the loom (or whatever protector used) to cover any wires that move around with the fairing. And to keep pairs of wires together, such as speaker wires. I also makes for a nice looking install. The SG should be done by the end of the week. I'll try to post some pics then.
