Thinking about swapping the D4 amp out with the D5.500.
Keep the fairing components bridged and running the 5th channel to 2 6.5 (either 500 or 1000 series) subs in lid speaker holes.

What else are you running on your rear stage? Do you have any Mids or Highs back there? If not I would think that you may be better of with a mid what will give you some Lows and a horn Vs going to a sub.
I have mids and horns in the fairing. Only thing in the rear is the tour pak stock speakers. I only use the tp during the winter.
I've been reading about the Pioneers in the lids but don't really want to stuff an amp in the bag since I use mine for other gear.

You can fit a small amp on you clutch side BT bracket that would power 6x9's well.
