BASS bÄs/. noun
noun: bass; plural noun: basses
the lowest adult male singing voice.
denoting the member of a family of instruments that is the lowest in pitch.
Since u have significant experience in audio, u can certainly appreciate good quality components while also respecting the difference between the various tiers of such components.
Save ur cash brotha and get the best damn fairing speaks possible.
DD AW6 in the fairing
Mid tier 4 channel amp 150x4@4
TP speaks that your ears feel will compliment the DDs in the fairing.
If you lay up too much on this initial install, I guarantee that u will be back for round 2 with a year.
What Slye is saying is that hard punch your talking about comes with a much higher priceline and even then once you get up to 40mph, the majority of that punch is lost in the wind noise. What your wanting is achievable, but not at that low of a budget. Also, keeping FM makes this budget even higher because of the select few amps available that doesn't kill the FM signal.
Yes it's "BASS", not base.
And the guys are right, at speed any bass you spent your money on will be lost. Get a budget together and go for what Tailwind suggested. You won't be sorry

Trying not to be stupid but what is DD I am not sure of the acronym. Any links? how much are we talking?
DD Audio. Just google search DD Audio AW6.5 and it will take u to their site. I think the AW midrange retails for $295 then u can choose from a range of tweets that will suit your ears.
DD Dealers more than likely have a little room for "sales" or "discounts" so do some research.
Ur just not going to find a better speaker for the fairing for our application.
If ur gonna drop 200 on a different tier speak, hold off a bit and get the Maserati in lieu of the Chevy!!!
There is a ban on Starbucks and Nordstom so u should have the extra cash in no time!!!!!
Traveled down this road bro and have lost count of speaks I have had in the fairing, so let's just say my DD AWs ultimately cost me a shix ton of cash. Don't make that same mistake.
