So I have my bike apart for some winter modifications. With it apart I was thinking about getting rid of the plastic pods and going with the BT upgraded brackets. If I went ahead and got the 7.1 package "BT7P14 SPEAKER UPGRADE" (not pros) would I notice much or any difference over my current Infinity Kappas? I am currently running a Cerwin Vega B2 amp. Thanks!

Yes two different speakers two different sounds. Sound being subjective no one can say whether you will like them better. Saying that, the Kappa's tend to sound bright and a lot of folks here say the same about the BT 7.1's. I think you would be better off going to a higher tier speaker, or better yet a pair of components, particularly if there are only two fairing speakers in the set up.
Yes right now only 2 speakers. I eventual may get a set of lowers and put some speakers in them. I guess a set of components would probably be my best bet right now I can put the tweeter where my mirrors were. Thanks!
Edit: Let me ask this. My CV B2 amp would alright to run a set of components? I know I would need a different one if I went with lowers in the future most likely.

Components for sure brotha!!! Mount the tweets in the grills using a hole bit and cover the grills with treated grill cloth for a really clean instal.

Reach out to Bagger Audio Lab for suggestions on what to add to the mirror holes.
The CV B2 should be adequate depending on which components you choose. If not upgrade the app(s) with lowers in mind.
Tweeters in the grill does look killer! What is my best bet for components? Sorry for all the ?? I haven't frequented the audio forum much since I did my current setup 18 months ago!!! Thanks again!

Here's a review thread on a few components that are very popular lately. In particular the DD AW6.5 woofers. You have a choice of adding tweeters to the grills or horns to fill the mirror holes.
I just got done striking a deal with BAL! I will be going with combo AW6.5/AT28. Gotta love winter mod season!
