I have an HDPDPLUS ipod interface stalled on my 09 Ultra........had it for a couple years and its has worked great until recently. Normally I can control the volume and change the songs by the handlebar controls, but now I cannot change the song. Can't go backwards or forward. The volume control works fine.....and the handlebar controls work fine regularly. Any else have this problem?

Be sure the "locked" option on the faceplate is highlighted

 

Thanks for reply........Yeah the "locked" option on stock radio was highlighted. Tried it with out highlight too...... played with wiring, connection at ipod. Stumped ! Irritating

 

Check the cable that plugs into the iPod for corrosion at the connector

 

Again Thank you for the help...... I have checked each connection. The ipod and the connections are in the tour pack. Looking at the hammer hanging in the garage now ! Could something have gotten loose inside the unit itself?

 

very possible you will have to open the fairing ( 10 minutes) and unplug and replug the HDPDPLUS connections, all of them.

that will clean all the contacts

JetRanger, did you get this resolved with your HDPDPLUS? I am having the same issues

 

All of a sudden my HDPDPLUS no longer allow me to select songs or folders. It does not automatically start playing when I select iPod. Maybe something shook loose. any ideas? Volume works fine. Yes the locked button is selected.

 

I've had nothing but trouble with this product. It's garbage. On the Move technology won't reply to eamails. The ipod would lock up, then the head unit was constatnly changing back to the radio survce and now no sound. I bought a new cable, still no joy. It has been removed and all contacts cleaned still no joy.

It's a rubbish product - don't bother buy the Harley unit, at least you will have someone you can talk about any problems.
