And that's still with a Boom infotainment HU. This is why you don't need to change your head unit.
Roger that. I see posts from time to time where someone says "to get good sound you have to get rid of that stock head unit". My ears are not complaining about my stock head unit. Believe it or not I still use the weather band from time to time.
Changing out the Boom 6.5 HU in search of better audio exposes u to tons of unintended consequences. It is a solid HU with very suitable and reliable functionality. Of course we all can dream about all the great things it should be doing like the garmin in our cages but HD is an organization with an intense focus on proprietary shix thus if u think ur going to beat this HUs overall functionality with an aftermarket HU u will be let down in a big way unless u sit in a parking lot listening to music.
There is without question better technology available, just not designed to fully integrate with an HD Rushmore so be careful about these shiny aftermarket things that are actually one dimensional or a major pita to get to a respectable level of overall functionality.
