Baddad speaker grills
What you're mostly seeing is variation in the Harley-Davidson speaker grilles. Harley-Davidson has certain tolerances for the grilles and they vary from part-to-part. For example, we've measured 1/8" difference in the width of the 1997-2013 generation grilles. The 2014-2017 grilles are more difficult to measure due to their shape so I can't exactly quantify the variation of those, but you can see tolerance variation in the newer grilles when comparing several parts side-by-side.
Attached are several pictures for reference. You will notice that the grille fitment is not great on the new 2017 CVO Street Glide in the dealership photos. These are OEM Harley-Davidson lids with OEM grilles shown in the attached photos on the black saddlebag lid.
By comparison, I think you'll find that the fitment of the Bad Dad lids with OEM grilles is better than the factory lids on the Amber Whiskey Road Glide and the white Fat Boy in the photos. Our fitment generally meets or exceeds the factory requirements, and these pictures support that.
Again, these photos suggest there is variation in the grilles, and that the Harley-Davidson fit is not extremely precise. Regardless, the variation is really negligible once the parts are on the motorcycle. I think you'll find that it looks great once it's painted and installed, just like the CVO and the other bikes in these pictures.

Yeah, that would bug me too. Try new rubber in there or see if one is sitting cockeyed?
