What are some of the speaker grills everyone is using on their lowers? I have a set of AdvanBlack lowers with speaker pods. The 6.5's fit great but they do not leave enough clearance around the lip to use the speaker grills I have. I have the ones that came with the DD AW's. They have the ring that fits under the speaker and allows the grill to pressure fit into it.
I would like to keep this style, but would need one that is a 1/4" or so smaller on the diameter.
Pete I have the DD grilles and AD grilles that we can sacrifice until we find a solution. The DD baseplate is a little bigger than the AD one and as you know, I had the same problem you're dealing with. I pulled the AD grilles out and tested to see if your Mmat will sit flush in there (since its sitting on my workbench) and it fits perfectly fine. I promise you we can get the ADs to fit perfectly with a little work. You can see tomorrow what they look like on mine. We'll get it!

Do you still have an extra set of AD grills? That would be great if you do.
Who ever said a plug a play system would be easy.... oh wait just because I'm plugging in wires and playing music doesn't mean its plug and play.
