Headwinds - 8-9030RS - Radio Static Filter? Before you order it. Unplug the headlight. Play the radio see if the static/noise goes away. I think you are going to have to try and remove one thing at a time to find it. Mostly because you did not do the work and have no history with the bike. Look for any type of ballast or load equalizer. Check all grounds. You can also get noise from having the positive and negative flipped on the speakers. Good luck.

it will help, but I've found some also filter out low end frequencies.
For some of us working with tiny little 6.5" speakers that ain't a bad thing

The bike has a stock headlight. The only electrical mod is an amp and Screamin' Eagle spark plug wires. The wires are suppression type.
