So when I did my saddle bag speakers and amp. I wired everything without installing a quick disconnect system.
Now there comes a time when this has to get done. Sooner than later.
Small leads are easy. But need help on the 8ga power & ground. What would really be nice is one combined plug all zip tied together? Something.......
Anyone try the Anderson quick disconnect or any other ideas are welcome. As I would like to put this to rest. And do it clean.
Bike will need to go in for service and you know how that goes....."we had to charge you an extra $200 for working around all the spaghetti!"
I can't win. Lol!

When I had an amp in each bag I used the Anderson Powerpole connectors (I used the red) I then used Deutsch connects for the speaker feeds. At this time I was running everything in speaker level inputs so I didn't need any RCA's
They worked perfectly fine and I just zip tied the 2 plugs side by side and wrapped the wires together.
Here's what I did. The speaker wires hasn't been run yet, but I use a weather pack terminal.
Matt,
that red connector appears to be the Anderson powerpole type connector in question. Looks like the 75amp variety?
Wonder if home Depot or like would stock that?

Nice and tight, just how I like....
It is the Anderson connector, not sure which amperage, but it's for 8 gauge. I got mine off Amazon and Slye sent me an extra one he had (came in handy).
For the power and ground i used these many times they work great. They are 8mm gold plated bullet connectors that get soldered on. They can handle more current than one would ever need. Plus they are neater than a lot of other quick disconnect connectors.
Yep, I have that in 10ga but wired amp in 8ga. So I'd have to get another one, regardless. Which would be a thought....

Those are just sick! Little out of my league......but doable. My soldering skills are on par with a 5yo. Lol!
