You will like them brother. Let them break in for about 8-10 hours and have fun with them. Remember they are not a bass type speaker they are sq (sound quality) but your going to be surprised how much bass is in them. Cross them at 80 and adjust the headunit it for mids/highs.
Those tweeters are crazy clear.

Got me rethinking whether or not to go with the ADs now.....
Got me rethinking whether or not to go with the ADs now.....
I'm not going to tell you to NOT go with the AD's as they are damn fine speakers. I will say that after hearing a set of them yesterday (removed the polks and installed them) the polks sound better to me.
This is just my opinion and my ears, yours could vary. I don't think you will go wrong with either I'm just liking the polks better.
This is the polks only at close to half volume not even broke in nor has the eq been adjusted for them. Only the speakers installed crossed at 80 at around 120w. You decide
Spacer question - for those of us with women who ride on the back - will the 1/2" spacers poke into them? My woman says she feels the pods as they are stock.
The BEST option is not to find a speaker that fits in a tiny pod, but to find a POD that Allows you fit a quality speaker. I know Gann runs pods built by Junes Upholstery and he can fit just about any 6.5 in his without a spacer. Not sure of the price but there aren't many speakers out that drop right in.
My distributor carries Polks, I picked up a set to try out but haven't had an ultra come in yet for me to test. To me the AD's are a tough speaker to beat at that price point.
I have the ones for the Rushmore King pak. They are made for 6.5" speakers (specifically made to fit Focal KRC, I had Moto 602s and Focal EC165K, KRC eeplacement, back there no problem)
