Default Upgrade question?

Hi everyone. I am new here but have been browsing and searching all the threads and you guys absolutely know your stuff! I am sure this has been answered plenty of times and don't want to bother y'all with the same old newb questions but..... lol. I have a '05 Ultra and the fairing speakers are basically shot. I have ordered Infinity Kappas 62.11 6.5 inch speakers and the adapters. I don't run the tour pack that often except on long trips but will probably upgrade the rear speakers later. My budget is very tight right now so I am not going to upgrade the rear speakers right now. Looking at the cerwin vega B52 or B54. I guess my question is am I going to have to hack the wiring using the original HU or is there an adapter to make it work? Eventually I will go aftermarket on the HU also. Anything that I am overlooking please let me know......I want to tear this down and get it back together as quickly as possible with no uh ohhs. lol

No hacking necessary! You'll need a PAC SNI-35 line leveler. A set of Stinger 4000 series RCA's. 8 gauge power and ground.

16 gauge speaker wire and a 50 amp inline fuse. Amp secured on top of the radio with industrial Velcro from Home Depot.

That is exactly what I needed to know! Would you go with the B54 since I will add the rears later? Thanks Gannicus!

I always tell guys the B54 is an excellent budget amp for running two ohm speakers. When you start talking 6x9's they are normally 4 ohm and need more juice that the B54 can produce @ 4 ohms. So if you added rears with that amp they would have to be the Infinity Kappa 693.11i speakers. With 4 ohm 6x9's your best budget amp choice would be the soundstream PN4.1000D. It will run all your speakers with authority. 2 ohm or 4 ohm.
