DB+ Series 5-1/4" 2-way car speakers in his rear pods as there is no mod necessary his ultra and they were cheap ($80). FYI if I am not mistaken I thought you could drop the 6.5's in without the spacer but probably not if you have the volume control. (right?) I thought we could make the 6.5's work but he wanted to make it easy and went with the 5.25's. I was surprised at the sound coming out of them. He is using the stock head unit with the BT4180. He had bought a package of that and the BT Pros used and didn't want to spend much money. I recommended (based on this forum) that he put a cheap pair of Polk 6.5's. He went with 5.25's because Crutchfield said no mod necessary. Just wanted to say that for the money the sound quality was good and these are *much* louder than the pros. If you don't want to put a 1/2" spacer and you are on a budget I would not hesitate to put a pair of these little bad boys in the rear pods. This has been a public service announcement. I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum.
The 6.5 Polks would've dropped right in. Just drill new holes to screw down the speaker
A guy was on here a week or so ago and put em in an 06 Ultra with no issues or mods.

I thought so - but he just up and bought these. I do not have the 6.5's to compare to - but I guess they just sounded better than I expected them to for that size and price.
