Default Lower(s) Speakers

For those of you who have speakers in your lowers and your fairing, is it worth it and do you have to have a 4 channel amp?

Right now have a BT 2180 amp BT 7.1 Speakers and a Hog Tunes Tweeter bar that I still believe adds to the sound some.

How are you running the tweeter bar now? Off the HU or in parallel with the 7.1's?

Paired with the 7.1's.

I'm not sure what ohm the HT tweeter pods are but if they are 4ohm you can run another set of 4ohm speakers in parallel and have a resistance of 1.33ohms. If they're 2ohm your resistance would be 1ohm. Either way you'll be fine running everything in parallel off the 2180. Mike from BT has stated that their amps are stable down to 1ohm.

What HU are you running?

Just a little old school FYI, can't remember who did it, might have been UN or maybe Harleypingman, way back before there was even an Audio section, but they did some testing on the resistance of that tweeter bar because it used to be a pretty big staple around here. Anyways the amount was almost negligible, or no need to worry about it dropping your ohm rating enough to worry about. And like SBates mentioned, your amp is pretty bulletproof. Unless the tweeter bar is something new I have not seen or herd of, I would not worry. Hope this helps. Kinda funny but lionsm13 is one of the guys from WAY back too.
