New to the motorcycle stereo game. Not new to stereo. Been doing boats for a dozen plus years. Right now my plan for my Deluxe is to run a Bluetooth module. JL or Exile. Into a JL 500/4. Run the amp bridged into 2 ch. @ 4ohms giving me 175W-250W at the speaker. For speakers I'm either going to run JL M880s. Or Exile 8s. I'm a fan of Exile. Been working with them in the boat world for a long time. I have already picked up 8" lids I just need to get them painted. My question s for all you experienced guys are as follows.
1. What are you using for disconnects on the power ground running into the bag?
2. See any issue s with what I'm trying to do?
3. Battery? What can I expect? I'm used to running multiples for long play times with out the motor running odvioisly the bike will be very different in it's use.
4. Any other words of wisdom? Things I'm not thinking about?
THANKS IN ADVANCE! photo added because who doesn't like photos..
Well I'm running the 8.8's and they POUND. And I'm only pushing 150 to them. And honestly, I don't see how much better they would sound with more power.
I've never heard/heard of Exile's. I run Wet Sounds 3 some in boat and those rock!
But these JL 8.8's are something else brother. I absolutely love them. You can't go wrong with them.

Thanks for the reply.. if you have a wetsounds threesome you know what beating wind and water noise is. Exile is on par with wetsounds. What amp are you running in the 8.8s. Any issues hearing them in the lids?
I am running a $120 Sound Stream amp. 150x4. Running 6 speakers off it.
That JL 500/4 is a killer amp. Will be perfect for the 8.8. And yes I can hear them back there while riding.

Which SS amp are you running that's 150x4 at 4ohms?
1. Look up Anderson PowerPole on amazon for your ground/power to the bags
2. Only "issue" is all the sound will be coming from behind you and with wind and speed, sound will not travel forward so temper your expectations on the end result. Also what lids did you buy? JL880s won't fit in a standard 8"lid I don't think just as standard 8s won't fit inside lids made for 880s. Not without some engineering.
3. Your battery will be perfectly fine
4. You're missing an inline fuse with a 60A fuse for the power wire but I'm sure you knew that if you've done boats.
