I am looking at getting a 2011 Ultra Limited with a sidecar.
I totalled my 17 Limited last week and was able to salvege my JL amp but lost my DD AWs and BT28s along with BT brackets etc.
I still have a JL 400/4 and a JL 280/4 with CX62s.
Is anyone familiar with the Harley side hack? It has volume controls and the headset plug mounted in the hack from the factory. I'm not sure about speakers but if it has volume controls I would think it has speakers. Once my broken ribs heal I will take a trip to see it in person. It sucks I lost some expensive gear but I was able so save some which is a start. Let's hear some sound suggestions for the hack. As I heal I am getting excited on my new adventure.
a larger than average(for a motorcycle) ported sub box buried deeep in the nose of the car, well calculated and powered. maybe some non traditional multple speaker pods for mid-bass aimed at better angles along the side of the car. the car allows for lots of ideas that wouldn't work on 2 wheels, but might on the hack.

I like that thinking too.
Now since I will have an 11 (pre Rushmore) I now have lowers without radiators.
Do I need a line leveler with the stock radio now? I was well versed with the Rushmore system but now I need to learn this all over again. I am so bummed that I lost the DD AWs and AT28 tweeters, I had not even had them a month and they aren't the cheapest option.
Like I said I am covered with amps (2 JL Audio and I have 2 SS 1000d's)What I have on hand for speakers is a set of AD CX62s for the rear pods. I have a set of PRV 200s that are laying around but don't know what to do with them. I really liked the AWs in the fairing but don't think the wife will let me spend that much again so soon. 2 12s we're mentioned for the sidecar, I have a set of early 90s MTX Terminators but once I get the bike figured out (again) then I will figure out the hack.
So with what I already have what should I do now for a six speaker system on the bike? I have a fairing for horns now too.

Ok, I now have the sidecar rig in my possession.
I thought I would have lowers for speakers and a place for horns in the fairing. The sidecar mounts take away mounting speaker in the right lower but the left is good.( Bummer) and I'm not sure if I want to lose gauges because since it's a sidecar rig it has a factory oil temp gauge instead of the useless air temp gauge.
It does have a factory speaker in the sidecar with it's own volume for it.
It's wierd I can only use one lower so that might be out of the planning, one speaker for the hack from factory so it will need some strategic planning.
Here are some pics of my next adventure Here is the lower that can not be used because of the mount There are two small speakers hidden behind the speaker cloth. Volume controls and station up/down button for the sidecar. Loads of room behind the seat back
