Will Soundstream PN.1000 Amp Infinity /KAPPA 693.11i 660 Watts 6" x 9" Speakers work together?
This is for an after market Fairing for my Road King.
Just want to make sure this amp will not blow up these speakers.
Check the fitment on the aftermarket fairing. I've not been able to fit the SS 1000D in an aftermarket fairing yet. If the amp fits no problem on the power. But I'd make damn sure the amp fits first.
the 1000 D is a mono amp correct...... you could get plenty out of a 100 watt a channel Soundstream just fine or 250 ..... but 1000 watts you better run a 4 gauge power and ground ....just saying ....I have built plenty of car and home audio.... our little bike batterys are too small for a ton of power ....Yes I know its a D class ........
A solid 100-250 watts is PLENTY.
its plenty small enough... I am a Car audio nut from back when soundstream ran MC-500 watts amps and they made a TON of real power .....and were the size of a small suitcase....Quality !
Good power and ground wires , decent set of rca cables ... Head unit that puts out a good 5 volts preamp power turn gains way down... .... turn it on and crank it up...Might want to use some dynamat sound deadner inside the fairly to help sound quality...maybe a small strip of foam tape to seal inner too the outer fairing .
Thx for all the replies, this fairing is a Stealth Fairing sold by USA Trailer Store.
Gannicus Have you tried putting this amp in this Fairing ?
I haven't Purchased an amp yet what do you suggest?
Im only going with the 2 Kappas for now in the fairing.
Down the road i might want to go 4 speaker 2 in the bags. so thats why I'm looking at 4 channel amp. This is the amp I'm looking at
Gann I fit that amp in a smaller Reckless fairing for a Heritage Softail. A lil creativity goes a long way.
Good Deal Brother! I wasn't sure. Last aftermarket fairing I tried that amp in was a PITA to get it to fit. I'm thinking it was a Dead Center fairing if I remember correctly. Just didn't want the OP to go through all the hell I went through trying to get that thing in there. . Lol!
Thanks for the insight SB!!
