Default Head unit upgrade help

Hi all,
Want to upgrade from the stock HK. In 2010 ultra
Budget $500ish
Presently running a PN350 and kappas. Don't plan to go beyond the fairing speakers.
Sounds good city. Not the best at 75.
Want better SQ , usb and bluetooth capabilities and I guess a cd.
Presently listen to mostly iPod via aux. and occasional cd.
Considering Sony Mex m100 or 71 . Would there be a benefit of the better amp of the 100? That's seems to be the difference in the 2.
Can I make due with the PN amp? Or should I upgrade.
Would also get a Bt1005 retro kit.
Best place to purchase needed gear?
Other thought was for my purposes for $299 going with the aquatic .one purchase Pull old head out and install aquatic .
Thoughts?
Thanks

I'd get the Sony MEX 71, when you use an amplifier you by pass the radios amp so no need for the extra power from the radio. The Scosche hand control kit is a bit cheaper then I'd bump up amps to a Cerwin B52 on you budget.

This is what I just put on my bike a week ago. The Scoche is very easy to wire up. Can see the screen of the sony in any light.

Thanks Mike and Alex for the quick reply.
Aquatic may be out anyway I don't think that model plays off a usb it just charges a usb device.
Alex is the scosche kit as dependable as the bt. Found the bt for 199. For everything I need.
What's the part no. For the needed scosche kit?
Thank you again

Thanks brother.
Also found part# for mounting kit about $60 can.
Do you happen to know if the bt splash cover fits the scosche radio frame?
I prefer it to the scosche.

That I do not know. The Sony is a marine radio, so I didn't opt for the cover.

Just because it's Marine rated doesn't mean it's waterproof. If you ride in the rain I'd advise getting a cover for it.
