Amp Mounting?

Amp Mounting?
Back apart for a gauge swap on my 15 SGS.. I has to pull the amp and loosen the tray I had my ARC Moto sitting on. I'm guessing its designed for mounting the Boom stuff. Not quite sure what is left holding it in, removed the torx screws into the top of the HK unit and the screws where my BT brackets bolt to it. Can this piece be ditched... Do most folks mount their aftermarket amps to it? Any options on a Rushmore for an amp mounting tray?
