100w rms, 200w peak, 4 ohm what do you recommend for an amp?
That's what I'm running now and they sound good but there is more to be had with those speakers. Ill probably get a focal sport once they get the wiring bugs out but I'm running 4 speakers. Arc audio , JL or soundstream will all do you justice if running just 2 speakers bridged. BTW hertz are a bit pricy and there are other speakers cheaper with great sound. I know that the hertz are just bullet proof. You can throw almost anything at them and they just keep on going. (where's my energizer bunny when I need it)...

im planning to buy the millie pros. he is asking $200 for them.. which of these two amps will work best with them?Jx400/4d for $150. And a XD 200/2v2 for $225
im thinking bridging 2 channel will be a good way to power these so wouldn't I need a 4 channel amp? so much I need to learn here.
also will these speakers fit the stock pods or will I need the bt brackets?
If it were me, I'd go for the JL amp. Those like the hertz are bullet proof too. Clean sound and not muffled. I'm sure others will chime in but from what you are getting that should soung great. BTW you will need the 355 line leveler. Trust me, I learned about that the hard way.
Being waterproof, it's sealed. Can't make gain adjustments...or is that done in the head unit?
The amp has all the adjustments like gain & crossover. There is a waterproof cover over the controls on amp so after adjusting u simply put the cover on it.
better off buying the brackets and never have to mess with it again?
That I cant tell you. I have never had those but I don't plan on changing out my speakers. As far as sounding better with the brackets, someone who has them can fill you in on that.
