Those speakers will fit in the pod and no need to mount them inside the pod. I used the stock wiring to the speakers. I also bought 8" rca wires off ebay and have to fold them to keep from just hanging out. Just a thought.

Everyone has been saying use 8 gauge power and ground yet, on the JL audio site they show 4 gauge needed and a 40amp fuse. Do I need the 4 gauge or will 8 gauge work? Also all the 4gauge kits come with much bigger amp fuse like 80. Where can I get a 4 gauge kit with a 4amp fuse?
Use 8 gauge brother. U will find a lot of the specs provide guidance for the auto industry and just don't consider sleds. Ur gonna run the wire 3-4 feet do have a peek at this chart.
finally got the fairing all tore down and off to paint to match rest of bike. i had save a bunch of details on how to hook these speakers and amp up but had to get a new phone and lost all the info. as far as the speakers go...do i reuse the wires that connect to the stock speaker or remove it from the pod and discconect it from the harness? or reuse them and splice the harness as needed for the pac interface? i remember the someone used the stock wires for the speakers, as the came out of the pod the wires were cut and then ran to the interface and then to the amp. i cant recall what to do with the other have of the speaker wire harness.. where do those loose ends go?
If your running the bt355 it's easy. Unplug the speakers from the harness at the molex plugs. Plug in the bt355 to the harness. Run rca's to the amp. Then new speaker wire from amp to the speakers. No cutting
Heiner, I miss informed you about the mille speakers. They do touch the inner fairing when installed outside the pod. After riding mine I noticed them loosing any mid bass at times. After further investigation the woofer rubber was touching the fairing thus cutting out the woofer. If you going to keep the milles you WILL need the bt speaker brackets. I am truly sorry for the miss info. As far as wiring, outcast gave you that info. Contact Donna at biketronics and tell her you are a forum member for a discount on the speaker brackets.
