I have started reading threads about stereo upgrades and as time allows it appears that I may be finished sometime this summer. I am seeking advice on upgrades for speakers and amps for the best possible system I can get for around 2K. I did the stage 1 boom upgrade with the upgraded speakers and additional amp and it is by far the worst money that I have ever spent.
I know that everyone hears music differently and I will probably get 100 different opinions and thats ok. I will take all suggestions and do more research and come up with something. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I like a deep rich booming sound.
Here is what I am working with . HD 2014 Ultra Limited.
My main focus is the 2 fairing speakers along with the 2 tour-pak speakers with an amp located in the fairing.
If money allows I would love to add 2 lower fairing speakers along with 2 speakers in the saddlebag lids with an additional amp mounted under the tour-pak.

- Saddlebag lid speakers Worth the cost? Can they be heard at high speeds? What about when it rains?
- Amps 1 or 2? Prob 2 if I go with the 8 speaker set up. But what about the 6 speaker set up without the saddle bag speakers?

I am 5 hours in on reading today. This is briefly what I am thinking....
Amps in this order (I think)
Focal FDP Sport
BT4180 only for the lifetime warranty and awesome customer support folks are talking about. Not sure I like the fact that you cant fine tune it with gains.
ARC Moto 600.4
Speakers
Either kappas62.11i or Arc moto 602 in the fairing
Polk MM652 in the tour pak.
Still looking for lower fairing speakers and what will fit. And if I add 6 speakers which amp will I be limited too. Eventually will add another amp along with saddle bag 6x9's
WIll I need one or two BT355 with four speaker set up? Figure I will need 2 when and if I add another amp.

Dude, get your post count to 10+ and contact haze324. Do yourself a very large favor, if your wanting to spend that amount (You can spend a hell of a lot less and get what you want as well) then let Alex guide you in that range.
