EQ Setting
Good morning all....Just trying to hear what the audio guys are doing with EQ settings.
I know going down the highway we are going to have a different sound, wind noise, exhaust, motor, etc.
I bought this bike new in 2012 and put the Biketronics 7.1 in the fairing with a 2180 and a Sony receiver. The MEX-GS610BT.
It has sounded great for almost 6 years.
I just installed the BT-4180 and lid speakers. I have the Biketronics Titan II 6x9s but I also have the Polk Audio MM1 692s I threw in there to test out. (I have to say, those Polk sound awesome and are half the price of the Titan II.)
Now that I have 4 speakers and a more powerful Amp I'm curious if you guys are just putting the EQ on "Rock" and leaving it alone or are you making your own custom setting.
I listen to rock or classic rock 96.2% of the time. The rest of the time is a mixed play list of country, rap, or whatever crap my wife wants to hear while she is on back.
Are you fading a little more to the back since the 6x9 can handle more?
I found that the "Rock" suites my needs but will get a little low on volume heading down the highway because of those particular settings.
Should I leave it off and use the EQ settings on my iPhone? I heard that wasn't as good.
I mostly stream through my phone through blue tooth or through the USB 2 port where I can plug the phone right in. I never really turn the stereo on and I couldn't even tell you if the CD player works!
Thanks for the input.
J
