not a good fit at all. I could not top mount them in my mutazu lids so I had to add spacer and mount from the bottom. I was suprise that I had enough clearance for lids function properly. So far I only have two nuts and bolts holding them in. The other two dont match up. I only have right woofer in but so far the pioneer 6900`s has more bass output. I will try bridging one side of pn4.1000d to see if they need more power. I sent the wrong model amp to a friend. He ordered the pn1.1000 mono amp. That amp has 600 rms in 2 ohms. I ma get from him and add to my sled but so far Rockvilles arent impressive
If ur standing these up next to a full range speaker u will notice a pretty big difference in sound. The freq range is very different than the Pioneer Pros and most full range 6x9s. You would have to add tweets or horns to cover the gap between 8000hz and 18 or 20000 Hz or whatever high freqs ur ears can hear.
If ur looking for just thump I'm sure adding some juice will bring these to life but that dynamic freq range & top end will be sorely missed rolling down the road. With the right power those things should pound.
Just ordered those since they were only $40! I will bridge amp and see if it makes a difference. As I stated earlier in post Im looking for more low end. The mmats and b3 horns are awesome! I'm still trying to find the perfect 6x9. So far the ts6900's are a top contender but I still wanna try the jbl got 939 and especially the mmats 6x9's. Hoping someone on this forum had a set so they could tell me are they worth getting
Just wired up Rockville 6x9's to Soundstream pn1.1000d. This setup at 2ohms hits! I have amp crossed over at 150hz. I now have no rear mids and highs so Im thinking bout ordering dual 6x9 lids. I prefer subs down low in bags but local installer wanna charge $300+ . Vivid black dual 6x9 lids are only $130 but I didnt want all that weight on lids.
