ok, got the C/V B54 cause is said direct connect to speaker input without line levelers... Everywhere I read, purchase line levelers
what is the true skinny ??
If you're installing this in a Rushmore you need the Line Levelers. It has nothing to do with how the speaker inputs go into the amp per-say. It's to tame the EQ in the Rushmore HU.
As SB mentioned, it's not just about the ease of installation on the Rushmore's, which is always a plus, but it's about taming the Boom HU base curve / flattening the HU audio signal. The BT LL do also check the box regarding ease of install.
Depends on whether you want to be able to fade between front and rear. On the TriGlide just like the Ultras there are no rear speaker wire coonectors in the fairing off of the radio. That means you can either use one LL connected to the front speaker outputs with two Y splitter RCAs so you can connect it to all 4 amp inputs. In that set up you will still need to run speaker wires back to the rear speakers separate from the existing wiring harness.
If if you use the kit it allows you to tap into the rear speaker wiring without cutting the stock harness or having to separately wire the rear speakers.
