Default Ready to install

Aloha,
Heading to OR Thursday to do some work on my 16 Limited and I am sure I will need some help from the experts. I have a Focal sport amp, AW6.5/BT30 for the fairing and MM652 for the TP pods. I also have the BT brackets and 2 LL with the breakout harness. I also ordered the PAC TR4 in case I need it.

My first question is regarding water-resistance of the fairing speakers. I already made cutouts in the Hogtune grills to mount the tweets. I know the AWs have aluminum cones, so do I need to do anything else to help prevent water damage?

Next, do I need to connect the amp turn on wire or will the signal come from the Boom 6.5 HU through the Breakout harness? PAC TR4?

TIA,
Dave

Also, how do I wire the AWs with the BT30s? They came with DD TXO-HPs.

Connect the crossover and the woofer to the amp. Then connect the tweeters to the crossovers.

Some folks like to add speaker cloth over the grills and spray it with a water replant. I normally don't with AW's. They should be fine.

I drilled a small hole in my BT bracket & ran the tweets wire thru it to the crossover, than as Haze said - connect the crossover into the AW 6.5 and wire to the amp

Thanks for the quick reply and you can disregard the email I just sent. Are the crossovers and woofers both connected directly to Ch1&2 as in Parallel?

JMC's reply sounds like the crossover is connected directly to the Woofer.

Thanks JMC - clear as mud. So for my NON-bridged setup, I could connect both the crossover and the woofer to Ch 1&2? Should they both be connected directly to the amp or could I use piggyback terminals on the woofers to continue the connection as in series to the crossovers?

The Focal Sport speaker wires are marked front & rear - left & right - using the appropriate marked speaker wires, splice left front Focal Sport amp speaker wire to your left AW 6.5 speaker and to the "in" crossover wire - then splice the "out" crossover wire to the tweeter - repeat for right speaker
MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE + to + wires and - to - wires
