Default Hawg Wired or ?

Working on picking up a 2016 Street Glide Standard with ABS and Security and regular audio system whatever that may be. Years ago the gold standard was Hawg Wired. Had their system in a few bikes. I’d just add an amp and 2 speakers and hookup my iPod. Is there a way to connect an iPhone to the system or what would be needed? I’ve been outta the game a while and lost touch. Thanks

Bad, Hawg Wired has not been mentioned on here very often. You can build a better system for less, or got with a Biketronics system, which will be better. BT just came out with a new amp the BT 4250 which will produce close to 250 rms at 4 ohm x4! I'm not sure about using the stock HU and IPhone but I'm sure there is a way to do it! Guy's with the Rushmores will chime in!

You can connect your Iphone to your SG in 2 different ways. 1) is by bluetooth connection to the head unit. 2) is a wired connection with a usb cord from the phone to the plug inside the media compartment.

I considered Hawg Wired at one time but went with an Arc amp and Polk db components.

Thanks that they do. Bike I'm looking at is a 2016 Street Glide. It's a Standard with ABS & Security with the stock HU. Goal is to be able to use either the iPhone or iPod with it for navigation. Invariably the HU is probably not that good. Trying to keep the budget on the low low. Building a new house so for the time being, a good HU (maybe retain the stock ?), good speakers and maybe an amp. Don't need concert hall audio, just a set up that works well and gives us good sound. From what little I've read and not a shocker, the Moco HU's and stereo set up aren't all that great. I personally don't see spending all that extra coin to have nav built in etc. Hard to beat the nav capabilities on my iPhone.

I'd recommend something like a simple DD D4.90 amp, 2 fairing speakers like the DD AW6.5 mids and AT28 tweets, a set of the BT speaker brackets, BT Line leveler & dynomat for the fairing if you want something good & not to break the bank

Bagger, another good bang for the buck set up is the Cerwin Vega B52 amp and Kappa Infinity 6.5.(62.11i or 62IX) You can use the stock HU with the BT 355 line levelers, I think the Kappas will fit in the stock pods with some modifications or using Hog Tune grills. Maybe somebody with a Rushmore will chime in and let you know for sure. WDX6 Moto's are another speaker guys are using, though I've never heard them!
