Another Boom thread....
Yes, Went with what I had and thank you in advance for all the" Stay away from the Boom crap" posts. I get it. There's always better.
I just need some help in the right direction to trouble shoot THIS install.
2015 RGS.
Already had CVO update on it. Found a supposed fine Boom 75x4 300 Watt amp and a harness. Bought bracket and Installed said amp and speaker lids.
Switched ignition on and all 4 speakers worked until I turned off the speed limiting volume in audio settings due to slight distortion. Poof. No sound. Took the amp out of the loop and sound again but of course only fronts.
Question is.. Bad amp? Did I need to flash the HU even though it had a CVO update? All 4 Speakers worked and amplified fine initially on low volume with no distortion. No the fade control wasn't in options so I was going to have flashed. Did it finally default to no amp and revert back to not triggering the amp? I checked fuses from harness and block. The boom amp doesn't have fuses that I see. Disassembled and don't see any burns on board. I'll trace power next. I figure someone has been through this and why reinvent the wheel right. Much appreciated!
