Would I be able to somehow use the speaker switch as a toggle for a remote wire that will be powering a amp in my tour pack?
the main reason for this is so I can just flip the switch to turn off the rear speakers if we are talking.
i have a 2007 ultra classic. Running a arc moto 600.4 up front pushing four Hertz 165.1 & a pair of Hertz ST35s.
thr tour pack amp is a Arc ks125.2 pushing two Polk MM6502s.
I just installed the newer Aquatic deck, & I will be using a rca splitter from the deck to both amps, sorry if I just faded the speakers, it would always fade two of the hertz up front.
anyways, if someone has done this, or it can be done, let me knoe.
Pic attaches of wiring.
Thanks!!!
I used one so that when I turn off my stock head unit the amp turns off. Also if I hit the speaker switch it turns off as well. I just used one of the front speaker wires as a trigger. I have preamp outputs installed on my stock HK head unit so I wasn't using the speaker wires anyhow.
I don't know how your aftermarket head unit is hooked up though. In other words, I don't know how that speaker switch is functioning now.

I have a remote wire that comes off the Aquatic deck. So I wouldn’t need a pac-4, correct? I was thinging about removing the “in” wire to the speaker switch and replacing it with the remote wire from the deck, and sending it back to the tour pack amp. Wouldn’t hat let me turn the amp off at the speaker switch?
Oh OK so if you are talking about removing the factory wires from the speaker switch then I don't see why you couldn't just pass your remote turn on wire through it.

yeah, that was what I was wanting to do. I just didnt know that since it was a 3 position switch, if it would work like i am wanting. Didnt know if something would interfere with it.
If you remove all the wires from it I would think it would work. You could just check the contacts with an ohm meter to see which ones make contact when the switch is in the "on" position. That's assuming those wires aren't being used for anything important at the moment.
