Default help with my setup please

So I have just purchased a 2005 FLHT that has a aftermarket Sony HU that sounds like garbage and half the functions do not work. I have openend the fairing to see what I was dealing with and found a biketronics module without a number but it is squared edges and non adjustable so I am assuming it is the BT1000

That being said, trying to keep costs down and not change the module I am limited to sony only HU that my one indy shop in the area doesn't carry.

My first thought was a XB100BT (online) with the 40W RMS output and some RF P16 speakers and call it a day. ..... then I started reading this site, lol.

Now I am at a lesser powered sony HU, probably the 5200BT with a CV B52 and Kappas. however that HU only has 2V outputs. will that hinder me? Also being in Canada with no good local indy shops, I have to order everything online, so i want to ensure I have all i need at once. Do i need a mounting plate for the amp? is there anything else I need to make this work? My list is - RCA from the HU to the amp, new speaker wire from AMp to kappas, speaker adapter brackets and power to the amp from battery. what triggers the AMP to power up as the "remote" from the HU will be connected to the BT1000.

Thanks in advance, seems like lots of knowledge in this place, better to ask than go the trial and error route.

Order this Sony from Crutchfield:

Use the orange and white wire on the headlight harness to power the amp. Make sure you ground to the battery.
