If I install a J&M Roker 2 channel amp with J&M front speakers on my Harley Ultra Limited will my rear speakers still work? I am looking to upgrade my audio on my 2017 Ultra Limited. I like to do the install myself and everything I read says that the J&M is a plug and play and does not need to be flashed.
I considered the Boom stage 2 but got discouraged when I talked to the Harley part guy ( more than one) I got so many different opinions from them that I am convinced that they are just trying to sell and think I am just dumb.
I was told by one parts guy that if I went with any other system other than boom my rear speakers would not work. Also I was told that even if I go with the J&M Roker it will need to be flashed by the dealer? Any help or hints will be appreciated.
First you can do ALOT, let me repeat, ALOT better than JM for the price. As far as plug and play, you still have to take off the fairing, seat, gas tank just to run amp wires. So there goes your plug and play.
What year ultra are we talking about so we can guide you to a good set up without cutting/splicing any factory wiring?

I have a 2017 Ultra Limited Low I understand I have to take off the fairing, seat, gas tank just to run amp wires. I liked the info on the J&M Roker that I found on Law Abiding Biker site. I found a compleat J&M 2 channel/speaker lit on Amazon for $703. I am open to any ideas and suggestions.
I just don't want to pay the dealer $900 for a Boom stage one and $400 for a boom install.

First thing you will need is a bt355 line leveler. A set of rca cables (male to male) an amp, amp wire kit and set of speakers.
Top end for a very good set up is
Tm 400x2ad amp $350
Hertz hcx speakers. $200
bt lineleveler $80
Amp wire kit $35.
Those are high side estimates and just about as good as you get for a 2 channel setup. Under $700. No cutting any factory wiring.
Good budget setup is:
Power acoustics rz4-1200d $85
Infinity Kappas 62.11I $90
Still need bt lineleveler and amp wire kit.
Just food for thought. Just about any good sounding fairing speaker/amp set up will be far less $$ and have 10x better sound than JM plug and play systems.

Can you still get the HCX 165s retail or do you have to find them on Amazon or EBay?
