As every speaker and amp is different, I would run the on hp filter and set your filter to where you don't hear distortion. Get a copy of Michael Jackson billie jean and run that. the beginning has a very pronounced bass thump. Start upping the filter until you don't hear distortion. That should be somewhere between 80-90.
I'm running the Mille Pro MPX 6.5 in the front fairing with a Diamond micro amp bridged. Can i run them in full range from amp or high pass?
Thanks
HP. Here is a guide for your amp and speakers. I got the information below from Chris Lowe and my system sounds great. I bought the speakers through him at Garage Bagger Stereo.
First make sure all dials are turned all the way counter clockwise. That's going to end you in the 7 o'clock position. All steps from here will refer to the time on the clock for an easy reference. Sens dials should all be at 11 o'clock, that's the first S in Sens, front and rear on 4 channels amps. The Freq dial should be at the following; 6.5 set to 1 o'clock that's the Q in Freq 6x9 set to 12 o'clock that's straight up and down. Horns and tweeters turn the dial all the way til it stops clockwise 8s, depending on the 8 should be between 9 and 12 o'clock All switches should be on HP

it looks like he is referring to the xover setting for tweets. Turn to highest setting on xover, but there would still need to be a resistor or xover after since the amp only goes so far.

Yeah, I'm thinking the OP is running the component setup thus will be wired thru the Hertz crossover.
Now if he is going to ditch the Hertz crossover and run horns on their own channel then I agree that those horns need to be crossed way damn high with caps / bass blockers.
Just making sure the OP does not read into the setting recommendation and starts twisting dials when it's not applicable to his setup.
