Also, set your front HPF Slope to -18 and front HPF gain to zero.

And you have no need to run those speakers bridged. Put them on their own channels. If you were running them bridged before now then that's likely gonna be your issue. Blown!!!!
Damn!!! I missed this reply!
I thought for headroom I would bridge them....Mistake??

I tested them with 9v batt and also they both read 3.6 Ohms. Could they still be blown?

I have read and unnderstand that there is lots of suggestion and advice to set gain with bike running. Please don't take this the wrong way as I am not questioning that the bike should be running but ....Why is this a best practice?
Is it so that the voltage is up or??

Un-bridge that amp!!!!

Set amp gains to zero
Set amp to HPF
Set crossover to 80
Put favorite song on sled
Set volume at 3/4
Slowly turn gains up until u think it's damn loud but still extremely clear. The second u hear any speaker distortion back the gains down until extreme clarity returns.
Note: 3/4 is your new MAX volume.
Start bike and fine tune the above settings.

Learning opportunity:
After ur done with these initial settings, put ur favorite song on at a normal volume and move the amp crossover **** slowly counter clockwise listening to how it impacts the sound. More bass enters with counter clockwise turn.
Now turn the crossover slowly clockwise all the way to the right and notice the bass disappear.
Reset crossover to 80.
In a nutshell HFH 80 is letting all frequencies 80 Hz and above to your speaker which is typical for the sled environment as it allows u more volume as it blocks the 80 and below freqs that cause distortion earlier in the game.

FYI, you can run this speaker in full pass / all pass as it performs pretty well but it won't get quite as loud with extreme clarity.

Last but not least, if you adjust/change the crossover settings you should also go back and set the gains for max volume extreme clarity setting.

UN-BRIDGE THAT AMP WITH THOSE SPEAKERS!!!!!!

Thanks for the info!
I unbridged the amp.... Quit Yelling at me!! lmao
I have it connected now to the Front channels only so should be putting 160 w at 4 ohms to each spkr??
This amp has no x over ****, it has a 3 position switch HP80, Full and LP80, same thing?.

Is HFH a typo or is that something else?

Sorry for my ignorance!! Just getting my feet wet!

Good catch on the typo!!!

My bad on the no crossover **** as well, but at least ur picking up what I am laying down regarding what that **** / switch is doing behind the curtain. At normal listening volume u can flip the switch to FP Full pass allowing all freqs to go to that speaker and u will obviously hear a much fuller sound. Then back to HP80 setting u up for the best possible volume setting in the wind and noise at highway speed. If u get to the point that the volume is more than suitable for u at speed with HP80 selected you can sacrifice a bit of that volume for warmth by re-tuning at FP.

THANKS FOR UN-BRIDGING THAT AMP!!!' Lol!!!
