FYI, 90% of the bikes we do are for customers that ride. This is the same old BS "oh all you guys do is trailer everywhere" I ride my bike everyday so again you are wrong sir. Your not too far from us take a ride up and we will show you how we do it and then go for a little ride. Im sorry I dont like Polk, JL, AD, Kraco, Boss, or any of the other brands you suggest. I know there ARE better ways to get this done on everyday riders. We do it daily. Call when your on the way. Hell I will even buy you lunch.
If u ain't selling Polk, JL, AD, or Kraco, I got no business bringing my coin up your direction. Now if u got some Kappas I would reconsider.
I'm 55 yrs old , and I'm starting to believe I must be one of the babies on this site after reading some of these comments. I guess I've been living in California to long, used to technology moving really fast. If a young innovative guy comes on here with some new technology that's not what you're used to and sharing it, don't fight it. If the guy is a vendor or not what does it matter if he's giving out setups that you can go reproduce yourself, be happy a shop or shops come on here and give out free advice. I know it's hard to teach a old dog new tricks but times and music set ups change daily.
ol dude, relax already!! Nobody is crumming on the guys technology or setups. We are all here to learn and help. Nobody is disrespecting the guy and we're just bouncing ideas, suggestions and opinions. I personally don't care if people are pushing or promoting their business , i get it. Others however have been reprimanded and booted for it.
Additionally, no one wants the guy who thinks he has all the answers to everyone's queries. It's audio and terribly subjective. What sounds good to me, may suck to you! We're here to help others along. As said earlier, most are average joes looking for an upgrade, usually on a budget. We try to target the budget and end game goals. While myself and others may not get scared by $600.00 amps and $600.00 speakers, most aren't that committed. Unfortunately high end comes with a high price. We try and lead people to getting the most while spending the least. Bang for the buck is huge in this game.
No disrespect by my ol dude either, I'm actually older than you. Lol

Thanks!! And Im not even selling anything. I dont care if they use it or not. I was just giving an opinion. You see they dont like that!! lol. Its all good they all come around after awhile!!

You got and specs on them Beymas ur pushing?
T
Again, Im not selling anything. I gave an opinion. No I quit using Kappas 5 yrs ago. Come on now.. Stop by if you ever get up here or I am sure you will see us around at Lonestar Rally. Which Beymas? What are you using them for? Fronts? Rears? Lids? Tour Pack? You want more mid or highs? What is powering them? What is your end goal? I try to set people up so we get it right the first time. Its better to save up a little more in the end then to keep chasing the sound you want with less then ideal equipment. In the end use what you want its your money!!

Have I promoted my business or tried to sell anything? Nope!! AGAIN, its like a damn broken record... I do not have all the answers, never said I do. I just know from doing many many installs what works and what does not work well with each other. Your right the clear and crisp audio we install might not sound good to you? Since you are referencing $600 amps and $600 speakers shows me you have no clue what your talking about. That is the problem with this thread. Good try though!!

Now I just posted a video with some $600 amps and speakers though. Not something we do for the majority of customers though.
Louie what's up brotha.....it's Alex from Funk Shop.
Man you guys should listen to this guy. Him and Scott Owens of Insane Asylum are leading the pack in innovative ways to create awesome sound. I know most guys here aren't "competition" guys, and this is a tough crowd but this is a wealth of knowledge here offering ideas to new ways of doing things. Worse case it causes you to look something up you otherwise wouldn't have.

Ah not much, just doing our thing over here. Try to help a few people here and there!! I hear you guys are killing it down there! Glad to hear it. We are looking forward to hanging out with everyone at the next event. Keep up the great work!

I don't think sound is as subjective as some people make it out to be. In fact I'll dare to say it's about as subjective as a person is inexperienced. Once you're up in the 90% range of having heard good quality audio you're gonna get a pretty good consensus of whether something sounds good or not. It's a lot like food. Even idiots know when something is burnt. An foodie can easily tell if something tastes excellent. The odd 10% can have their fermented whale fat and cheese that smells like barn waste. Point is, anyone on this board with good hifi experience is capable of opining on the sound quality of a system. Straw-maning a system and claiming it has no bass is just talking outta your ***. But if you've tried it and still claim it sucks your opinion is valuable in my books.
[THREAD-JACK OFF]
I got a good idea for a new thread that should be fun
I don't wholly disagree Respect. I do however think subjective still holds true. To some the stock Boom system sounds good and think we're all crazy. To some it's sounds good, but would like to hear it at 70mph. To others it's horrible and want an upgrade. And still others want the best that they can get out of a bike.
Don't get me wrong, I've heard some killer systems and like the sound quality. I wouldn't however shoot for that on mine. I won't give up bag space or trunk space to attain it. I will settle for a system that works and sounds good to me going down the road. That's what is important to me!
Don't get me wrong, guys like Alex and Louie put some bangin systems together with sq and db. I respect the work they do. Imho, it's not what most here are looking for though.
