You don't have to explain who the crowd is ,the dude just threw a setup out there that he's tried. Putting two 6.5 in the lids isn't some way over the top competition setup, sounded like a solid not overboard expensive setup up to me. But what do I know.
Its kinda tough for me to pass judgement when I have not heard a dual 6.5' lid setup.
In theory if would not produce that much bass. Years ago Bose said hold me beer..our factory subs are 4'-5.25'' and provide
some decent knock in some vehicles.
You are correct sir. a 6.5 will not produce bass. Depending on application we use them as mid drivers. Take a look in the video section. I posted one we did last week. That setup is loud as hell and perfectly balanced. Im not sure how it sounds on the video since I don't have any speakers on my computer?

What does that setup in the video consist of?
And if it's proprietary I understand that too.
FYI, 90% of the bikes we do are for customers that ride. This is the same old BS "oh all you guys do is trailer everywhere" I ride my bike everyday so again you are wrong sir. Your not too far from us take a ride up and we will show you how we do it and then go for a little ride. Im sorry I dont like Polk, JL, AD, Kraco, Boss, or any of the other brands you suggest. I know there ARE better ways to get this done on everyday riders. We do it daily. Call when your on the way. Hell I will even buy you lunch.
I can't believe you just grouped JL Audio with Kraco and Boss, WOW!

Louie, some really nice bikes and audio the vid you posted sounds great on computer with sub and speakers attached , and finally a builder that shows system playing a song and not some bs that is supposed to showcase how great system plays all frequencies . May i ask are you here to sell gear , show off your hard work , try to show how much smarter you are, **** people off , or share knowledge and help others attain the unicorn .
Not being a d--k i just don't know how to approach you or when or if should , seams you competition/ custom builders have the luxury of being sponsored or parts at cost and having really deep pockets along with all day every day trial and error that is essential and hard for the average guy to duplicate. You already hurt my feelings when you posted don't like 8.8 or JL but a at least your honest. either way good luck to you.
I'm no hater..... i like audio. I'm not hatin on the twin 6.5 lids. I can't knock what i haven't heard. I know what I've heard with 8's, 8.8's and 10's though.
I was just throwing out a guess as to brands being sold through the man's business. If i were an audio dealer/ installer I'd be pushing my wares also. If i were a smart, profit driven audio dealer, I'd be pushing my wares with the biggest markup.
I'm neither of those though. I'm just a guy who likes bikes, audio and helping people where i can. I try to guide by my experiences and prior mistakes, so others can save the time and money. I have no monetary gain, it's just the love of the game. Myself and others have given away more equipment than sold here. Not tootin any horns, just good ol fashion brotherhood!
To a point you are correct. What I am not going to do is sell a brand that I know doesn't produce well. No matter how much we make. Its not all about making money. Sure we need to make a profit to keep the doors open, but I enjoy building bikes, and audio systems. Nothing better that seeing a huge smile on our customers face when they see the completed bike for the first time. Or when we turn up the volume on there brand new system. Its all good, I am not selling anything on here. I just gave an opinion.

It has 4 Beyma GMNDs up front with 2 ST25s. Tour pack has another 4 Beyma GMNDs and lids have Hertz 690.3 6x9s for now. Powered by 2 Soundigital 800x4 amps.
I'm 55 yrs old , and I'm starting to believe I must be one of the babies on this site after reading some of these comments. I guess I've been living in California to long, used to technology moving really fast. If a young innovative guy comes on here with some new technology that's not what you're used to and sharing it, don't fight it. If the guy is a vendor or not what does it matter if he's giving out setups that you can go reproduce yourself, be happy a shop or shops come on here and give out free advice. I know it's hard to teach a old dog new tricks but times and music set ups change daily.
