I installed the 600.4 amp with DSP, along with ARC Moto 602 v2, this is wired Active. I had a local tech set the DSP up and I'm just not liking the sound quality that I'm hearing.
The system is just LOUD, is there a better setting to use on the DSP or different speaks? I wouldn't recommend this setup to anyone for the money.
A dsp has infinite settings. While your 2 speaker system doesn't require the use of a dsp, you already own it. It's a very useful tool but takes a lot of work (play) to get it where you like it. I don't know if i would have others just setup my tune. I would maybe try him again, but be present to give your input during the process.
When Arc delivers their dsp they have it tuned for the same amp and speakers you have. They also have it tuned for use in a Rushmore bike. I don't know if that's what you have or not. You can use the PSM software and set it to their default tune and see ifyou like the results. From there make a copy of it and play with the copy to your liking. There are videos on youtube explaining the use of a parametric equalizer. I would probably educate yourself in the terminology and use of them. As I said previously, you already own it, at this point you have nothing to lose.
If you have a Rushmore bike, you can always sell your PSM and use a BT 355 instead.

Since ur already pregnant with the DSP, invest some time in the tuning aspect associated with audio. You won't regret it.
It's a very patient trial and error process and backed up with core fundamentals, u will be glad u invested a little sweat equity.
It truly is the best way to maximize the performance capabilities of each different speaker on the market.

Curious, is it an Arc brand DSP? I have the 600.4 with 2 602s (fairing set up only) and after setting gains on amp was able to produce pretty good clarity along with LOUD. However, keep blowing a speaker even with micro managing the volume to prevent this from happening.wasnt aware Arc made a DSP for this setup. Thanks for the post.
Since both of you are saying that those speakers are LOUD, I have a question. Are these systems being run bridged on the arc 600 amp? To the 2nd poster; any line leveler in that setup? Is it possible these speakers are being over-driven by a bridged setup or too distorted at higher volumes?

No line leveler. Yes, its bridges. Dont want to hijack OPs thread...hopefully this will help. Heres the current amp settings.
All I can say is if you have the PSM spend a little time trying to tune it yourself. That little black box is amazing. I finally had time to play around with mine this weekend. The results were pretty incredible, compared to the tune that Arc installed. Im not running those speakers maybe thats the difference.
