In my understanding resistors just create a voltage drop, to change the frequency you would need capacitors as well.

Is that why arc says a LL is not required m
From the way Arc explained to me the resistors are only there to keep the radio going. They didn’t flatten the curve. That needs to be done with the psm.

I guess i don't understand why arc says a liner leveler is not required, even if they don't sell you a psm

IMO, and that's all it is is my opinion, but if your not using a PSM or some sort of DSP on the Rushmore, you should be using the BT355.

Agreed.

I think the confusion in this thread is that OP had dsp and another did not.

So as bates said, without a dsp on a Rushmore you'll need a BT355.

If you have a the arc dsp, the arc harness is recommended.

for the op
install the high level in with the ARC/harness or resistors as they describe in their tech document, set amp crossover switches to full range, turn amp gains all the way down!! can't stress this enough to start with gains down. install the psm software on your laptop or pc, download or reload the stock ARC tune. wire up your speakers left and right on channels one and 2. do not bridge the amp.
once that is done, turn on the system plug your laptop in and open the arc software. confirm the crossover settings, starting at hi pass @90hz with the lw or butterworth and a 12 or 24 slope. start playing a song with lots of musical range and energy, turn the head unit up to about 60% volume. begin to slowing turn up the amp gains to about 30% from 0. how does it sound?.
at this point you begin to go to the EQ menu and the main gain in the arc program. experiment with the eq settings till you find something that you like, keeping an ear out for distortion or anything that makes the speaker sound weird in any way. make sure that you link the eq setting left to right in the software. dont forget to start with a lower gain setting in the software also. you also have to do this with the bike running. once you get it sounding pretty good, begin to raise the master gain in the software, constantly keeping an ear out for distortion or abnormal speaker sounds/ behavior. every time you bump the gain up, listen, tweak, repeat till you think you like it. then name and save the tune to your computer, then save it to the preset channel of your choice.
repeat the process till you are happy with the results.
there are lots of videos on youtube about the PS8, watch them, the PSM is very similar and after watching the videos and working with the software you'll get the hang of it and be able to adjust it to YOUR liking, which to me is the most important part. the only other thing that i might recomend is to have a hi powered fan running on the engine to help keep it cool while you are working with it, when i put these on a rushmore bike, i plug the usb cable into the psm,(sometimes a dab of clear silicone to keep the connection good and secure, not in the cable, but on the outside of the cable case and the psm case) and route the cable either through the glovebox, or through the forks so that i can gain access to it, so that i can re-tune without having to take the fairing off and on again, just plug it in , play and re-store the cable and go.
post up your results.

So I called Arc yesterday and dude told me to use the Biketronics LL or their HD harness for a 2014 Street Glide with Arc Moto 600.4 amp and PSM. He said the LL will do same function with resistance issue as the harness and that the factory Highlevel harness on the PSM has resistors on it. Now I'm even more confused, lol.

I clipped the BT355 wires and fixed it in the big green can and used the harness to go right into the ARC PSM speaker wire input. Never had a an issue w resistance.

Or u can use these biatches plugged into the speaker output harness and wire it to the PSM input harness.
