Default Polk MM652 or Infinity Kappa 62ix?

I was running the Hertz CPX 165 Pro's but something happened to one of the speakers so I ended up sending them back. I ordered Polk MM652's and one of the speakers arrived damaged (just my luck). The MM652's are on the way back for a refund. I am considering re-ordering the MM652's but also re-considering the Kappa 62ix. I was looking at the 62.11i but they were discontinued and replaced with the 62ix. Does anyone know if the 62ix will fit the Rushmore Street Glide speaker pods without extensive modifications, and would the 62ix be a better choice than the MM652's? I just want loud, clear sound at highway speeds. I am considering other speakers as well but like anything on a bike (windshield, exhaust, etc) it tends to be more of a personal choice. I am running a BT355 line leveler and a Cerwin Vega B52 amp on a 2016 SGS.

I don’t know if they will fit but I do know that I prefer the kapa all day every day over the Polk. They are much louder with much more mid range

Replying to an old Thread, Hope it can help others make a choice.

I have used Below speakers on lower fairing :

-MM6501 (First setup)
-MM651
-MM652
-Kappa 62.11i
-Kappa 62IX (Current setup)

Of all, I love MM6501 which are tend to be crisper and have tad better midbass and can also take more power. But their Crossover goes bad in lower fairing faster(unless they can be installed on batwing) and hence I have been trying different speakers ever since. After MM6501, I loved 62.11i but they were not waterproof/resistance, and in one storm, they stopped working. Since they are discontinued, I tried and installed 62IX on lowers. The speaker itself sits flush, however, the Grill/case doesn't, you need to sand off the edges of grill for it to sit flush.

I had another Grill set available from one of the speaker sets that i installed in my car (Morel) which sits flush and are now installed in my lowers with 62IX.

Sound wise, Kappa's are loud at higway speed and can highly recommend them over Polk MM652(personal opinion)

I'm running Infinity separates.

i like them better than Polk. Running separates solves your waterproof problem (no tweeter stalk on the woofer to leak). Better power handling. A little more work to install and you have to find a spot for the crossovers, but worth it imho.
