There are ways to verify the SN with the company but, it is a long process and its usually AFTER you purchase them. As Haze says, purchase from a trusted authorized dealer. You can then spend the money with confidence knowing you are getting what you ordered! Thing is too, most dealers offer some sort of warranty or replacement. If you buy knock off, I seriously doubt you would hear a word about a warranty!
