I having been seriously thinking about adding lowers with pods. The problem is I'm tall(6'4") I'm worried about how much comfort I'll loose as I actually like to ride my bike. On my recent trip to Sturgis I used the whole floorboard and them some to go as far between stops as I could. Any tall guys here that run lowers? How bad is it? Function is more important than form for me.
I'm 6'1. I added lowers for pods to my 18 sgs. I also need to stretch out / move around (more so because of back issues). I added the Ciro 3d highway pegs that replace the front board mount (not the engine guard mounted style ) and have zero issues with foot placement or comfort. YMMV but I'm happy.
I'm 6'5" and ride a 07 ultra with lowers and have a terrible habit of bypassing my floorboards and going directly to the highway pegs. Wasn't as bad on my old fatboy.

This sounds like you don't really care for Your lowers then.

I think it would be the same either way at this point. Rode a buddies SG over the weekend without lowers and highway pegs, just felt weird and cramped.
I'm 6'4 as well and I have no issue with the lowers getting in my way. I have the Kuryakyn board relocators as well as highway pegs and have plenty of room.
