I think I read a couple threads in the touring forum that said the old style does work on the new bikes. I don't remember any mods needing to be made, but I would do a search and double check if I were you.

I just realized I never replied to this! Yes I saw the DD bike with the glass pods on it. I like them a lot, but the place I found that makes them cast them from gold apparently. I have thought about attempting some glass fairings myself, but I have a couple projects ahead of that one for sure.
