Gains should be set to what speakers can handle, not max output
So in you option would you set it at the peak power the speaker can handle or the continuous power. That would put it at about 12 to 15 volts. At the voltage it felt lacking a bit. My HU goes to 32 volume meter. So I set the volts at 24...3/4 max volume. To adjust peak. I guess I'll pull the faring again. lol
Those Power Acoustik amps are known to be over rated as far as wattage goes, look at.the sticky on bench tested amps, also there is a YouTube video on a dyno test on a 10000 watt amp, that gets no where close. Just be careful with the voltage settings, hate for you to smoke those speakers or amp.

Yeah brother, those Speaks will be producing magic smoke in no time.
Get the free Ohms Law Calculator app on your phone, enter the desired speaker watts and ohm then set the vac to that number only as a ruff reference point. Fine tune by ear.
So used the calculator. Based it on 125 watts 2.5 ohms.Kappa stat sheet said 75 watts continuous to 250 watts peak. 2.5 ohms. Calculator said to set at 17.67 volts. I have it at 16.75. Sounds great. I am guessing 26.5 was a bit high as suggested by a few. lol Thanks for all the help

That sounds better. Play a few different songs thru the stereo and tweak the gain accordingly. Once you hear distortion, back it down a hair and your set. What do you have the speakers crossed at?

Awesome stuff brother. Many folks recommend that 150% (1.5) to 180% (1.8) RMS is a good spot to be on a sled in order to safely push the speakers in this tuff audio environment. Let them suckers break in a bit and if needed u might be able to step them up a bit but as long as you know the generally accepted boundaries to obtain respectable longer term reliability and a keen ear for distortion that's a damn good place to initially define the sandbox.
Great technical work brother!!!! Enjoy the hell out of your audio!!!!
