Finally got AA compatible phone for navigation on Sony ax5000. But HU says cant use Android Auto, follow phones instructions. Phone says to stop car, if car is stopped use parking brake.
So it would seem that green wire to HU isnt grouped properly, yet from the HU I can access and change the settings that are supposed to be locked unless vehicle is in park. So I figured green park wire was connected properly to avoid the park issue. I see see no limitations regarding stopping or applying brake or park when using HU, only when using phone with AA, then that wont work on HU at all. At same time, NAV on the phone seems to work even when the phone says I need to park the car for AA.
I think communication between HU and phone is lacking something. The phone is LG Rebel with Android v 5.1 software. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Good idea, I'll try that with the green wire.
I have phone connected to ax5000 USB1 with usb cable that came will the phone. I ordered whats supposed to be a "good" (better?) one, as some sites suggest that.
Will also try updating ax5000 firmware.
Thanks!

I don't think its a USB issue, I was just making sure we're talking USB and not Blueteeth. Firmware as far as I know is only a single fix and one feature improvement. There was no additional device compatibility in the documentation.
Sure enough firmware update did not help. Haven’t opened fairing yet. That might have to wait until after some riding. Setting adjustments which Sony manual states require vehicle to be in park (such as adjusting custom Eq levels and cutomizig thumb/steering controls) are all accessible thru HU. Only trouble so far is with Android Auto and the phone connection.
I just now now tried and failed to get HU paired with phone via Bluetooth, tho I don’t plan to use Bluetooth. Still curious why it didn’t work, when it was easy with older phone and boom 4.3. I’ll load some songs on the phone to see if HU will play those. It does fine with mem stick tunes in USB2.
Make sure you unplug from USB when you try to pair with Bluetooth. Assuming you're using the newest LG Rebel this should not be an issue. Android over USB can be set to automatically command and control your phone when it pairs with the HU.
I did have USB still plugged in when first tryed pairing. Later unplugged USB and tryed pairing again without success.
Will try again tomorrow, also with old phone that paired easily with boom. Thanks!
I was able to pair via BT with no issues. LG V30 running Android 8.0.
Once I get the bike back I'll have to figure out the AA parking brake thing.
I'm hoping you guys get it solved before Sat. LOL
Now that I have my bike back and fairing off I've found my green 'parking'wire is tied into the black ground wire coming off the HU.
It seems that grounding my parking wire isn't my issue.
I had to ground mine. Then I had trouble because I skipped the “safety notice” pages on the new phone. Finally went thru and acknowledged them, and then it worked. Also got BT pairing to work.
Now I need to find easy way to turn AA NAV on and off while riding, so it’s not a bother when I don’t want it on.
