Google Class D amps & EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference). Tons of articles on it and theories about reducing it as an end user but just don't know many folks that fight that fight to retain FM with all the other awesome audio sources available these days.

I'm right smack dab in the middle of a complete system overhaul. I switched to a Sony xav-ax5000 and a Hertz hdp4 amp and sitting in the garage with just the short antenna adapter sticking out of the radio, l get fairly decent fm reception. If l plug in an antenna mast, it really improves.

l realize this doesn't really answer your question, but l thought l'd share my findings. With the stock 6.5 radio and a DD Audio D4 amp, l couldn't get an fm station to come in if were sitting in there parking lot.

A lot will depend on the year of your sled too. The Rushmore models don't suffer from it quite as bad as earlier models.
