I'm looking to install a PA component system and plan to install horns up front and eventually a set in the lids. I'm trying to decide which out of the these 3 should I get... Hertz ST25 vs Diamond Audio MSPRO1ST, vs DD VO-B3
They all seem to be pretty close to the same with the exception that the VO-B3 is at 8ohm verses the other 2 are rated at 4ohm. Another concern of mine is water intrusion. I get caught in the rain at times. The VO-B3 actually list their tweeter as Marine Grade water resistant.
I'm leaning towards the DA MSPRO1ST, but I'm very open to hear others opinions that might have experience with these 3.
OP I'm sorry, but I can't help you too much, other than suggest that you make sure you know what kind of bike you have, and can tell the difference between a Road Glide and other bikes.

Peace be with you.
I'm a little confused by your comment... I made no mention of a Road Glide or any other model bike. Not sure if you are trying to be a smart *** in how I read your comment. I know exactly what bike I have. Which happens to be a 2017 Street Glide. Although I dont see exactly why that would matter in what I'm asking. Pretty much my main concern is if anyone has had any of these blow from water damage. Or am I worrying about nothing? I was only asking about the tweeters and the difference between them. simple as that.

PSoff,
The B-3's are Marine rated and they are one of the most used horn/tweeters around. They can take some power and will become over powering depending on what you have them paired with. I would recommend keeping any horn/tweeter on their own channel or channels depending on the amp.
I seen this article (see below) which is very old, so maybe they do not sell them as 8ohm anymore and now are all 4ohm. Which that makes me feel much better about them.

Thanks for the reply
I do plan on using a DSR1 and putting each component on its own channel. In addition to the tweeter horns... I plan on putting 6.5 mids up top, 6.5 mids in the lowers. As for the lids I'm still undecided on 6x9 with another set of Horn tweeters or new twisted 8 lids with 8" woofers and a set of horn tweeters. I have not decided on which 6.5's I will be using as of yet either.

PSoff,
Plan it all out!, even if done in stages, Plan it out start to finish. The 6.5 you pick as a stand alone speaker, you may have to change up in the big plan of your system.
Try to only purchase once. I have seen people buy speakers and love them, then add more to the "System" and had to change out said speakers. 8's or 6x9's if powered correctly could use different front stage speakers so they all compliment each other. Hope that makes sense.
Nail down your build plan, and ask questions prior to finalizing it and breaking out your wallet. You will be happy you did. Most of the guys here have opened that wallet to early and then had to open it again. I am one of those guilty ones.
