Pa601’s sounds really nice with the right bandpass, not sure how they’d sound just highpassed though.
As as far as the wdx6moto’s, I ran a set for a while in my lowers and those things get freakin LOUD for a coax. They’re very bright though and the tweeter were overpowering my dash by a long ways so I ended up bandpassing them as well killing the highs at 10k. At that level they were a great compliment to the rest of the bike but without, theyre fatiguing because of the volume from the highs.
I just ordered some wdx6motos got deal on them was thinking using them in my lowers heard that they were load and sometimes overbearing so I was sorta bummed but with a dsr1i can turn the highs down right

Yes you can. I have the same speakers in the lowers. They are loud but bright. The dsp will help tone them down. They work well in the lowers and provide plenty of sound going down the road.
I have a 14 Limited as well. I have Hertz Hcx165 in the fairing, WDX Motos in the lowers and JL880'S in the lids
SD800.4 and Nvx400 and Arc Psm under the hood

You may not need DSP with the controls and EQ on the Sony HU. I wouldn't get in deep $$$ till you hear what you got.
