No, Biketronics sells the BT355 line leveler that will flatten the screwy signal from the factory radio, so a flash is not required. They also have plug and play wire harness that makes the install a breeze.
I ordered the BT 4180 and a set of 7.1 Titans from Biketronics for my 19 SGS. Lowers at a later date. I sent Donna a pic of the current EQ which is 01_OFF.bin. She recommended I get the Ultra Flash (4 speakers, no amp) from the dealer. Spoke to my dealer and they will flash for free. Supposedly the line levelers will do a better job with this flash then the current flash. I would call BT. Great service BTW.
Thanks guys. Ordered up full kit. Kenwood H/U. 2180 amp with Titan II speakers.
I hope this is worth the money. I will post back when I get this installed.
I hope to do a full video / review.
Received my radio kit for my 04 EGC. Installed everything, nice and easy install. Donna was great answering my questions (she called me !!!)
I am impressed with the sound quality. I have yet to get the bike on the road, waiting for speaker supports. But I will post up the final verdict.
Thanks to all that gave me input about Biketronics.!!!!!!
Glad you like them. I’ve used biketronics for many years now and have always gotten good products and great service. A little extra to pay but you do it once with no regrets.
A little update.
Took the bike out for an initial ride today with a passenger. I have a 3 1/2" winshield installed ( I am a short guy 5'6" )
Sound system is awesome !!!! Passenger can hear radio clearly at speeds of 70 mph.
