My Turn for Audio Selection
I know this question gets asked a lot, but I'm asking anyway because I'm overwhelmed by all this. So here goes.
I have a 2017 Street Glide Special with the 6.5 Boom head unit and fairing speakers and lower fairings. I am looking to adding amp, new fairing speakers and add lower fairing speakers. Budget is 1500.00 or less. I listen to mostly country music and old rock, no bass thumping hip hop! I'm looking for a good crisp clean sound that I can turn up when the desire hits me.
I've read thru this section umpteen times trying to figure out what's the best for the budget and am thinking maybe the Hertz HCX 165's for the upper fairing, not sure for lower fairing speakers and maybe the RF TM400xad amp. I like the coaxial speakers with the built in tweeter for space reasons, but not sure how well the tweeters are.
I'm not an audio expert by any means so I'm looking to the guys here on this forum that are much more knowledgeable than me to keep me from spending on something I'm not happy with so PLEASE offer your suggestions for my setup!
