The only Boom system I've ever heard that sounded good was on the showroom floor. With Harley's run file bin it drastically changes that setup and not in a good way.
Let's quit bashing BOOM long enough to address the question.... what can be done to improve the speaker enclosure acoustics regardless of the speakers or amplifier?

How is me telling you my experience with Boom bashing? You're not going to make it sound any better unless you can crack the code in the RUN BIN_FILE. Period end of story.
Now if you want bashing, the Boom system is Garbage and I feel sorry for those of you that got suckered in, I really do. But the fact remains, it's not going to get any better no matter what you do to it.

I'm installing an ARC 600.4 Amplifier and Hertz MLK (Legend) 165.3 Speakers in my fairing.... Do you have any experience "Improving the Speaker Enclosure Acoustics"?
I'm not trying to stir the pot, I'm just looking for guidance. I know the masses hate Boom, but I have a hard time believing that NOTHING can be done to improve the stock acoustics?! For exmaple, I can take a bluetooth speaker, set it in a bookshelf while playing, and it changes the sound drastically. There has to be tips/tricks that make the Boom-stage2-setup sound better than just bolting them into the stock speaker pods.......or am I being naive?
Trial and error will get you the answers. Adding poly fill, and cutting a couple holes is neither difficult or irreversible. If you find the key to unlocking the stg 2s report back.

If that's the case you're going to have to hack the pods up anyway.
Why do you say that? That's kind of what started the whole string...AHB says seal the pod, Sinister says cut a "port" in the pod. There's a ton of knowledge here but no one sharing their experience. Why do I need to hack the pods ? What kind of hacks are we talking about?

Reason: added question

Just because someone says you must do this or you need to do that doesn't mean it will work in your scenario. It's all trial and error.

If they'll fit in the pods without cutting them for the magnet to fit then leave them sealed.
