This is how i hooked mine up from head unit...The DSR does the remote turn on etc...but this is the basic hookup
I was thinking that was how it would connect. See you threw a curve in there by saying this is a basic hookup. Now that make me wonder how many ways could it be hooked up? lol

Well I meant "basic" because 99.9% are going to use RCA hookups but there is always someone trying to do something extravagant and/or outside of the box to hook stuff up.. lol But doing this way you can fade to the front and fade to the rear..now what DSM was saying and where it gets complicated is how you do your wiring for your speakers which will in turn affect your fade capabilities. You probably wont use your sub output on your back of your radio.. well at least I didnt but someone else may chime who knows wayyy more than I know.. What I think DSM was saying nicely was you have a combo of Pro Audio and coax mixed in.. most just run either PA straight or one or the other. mixing those 6x9's in with that DSR just makes for a tuning nightmare.. thats just my 2cents.. which aint worth shix.. happy tuning brotha

Ok, thanks... lord knows I don't need anymore complications with this project. I wouldn't think 6x9's would be a problem. I wish there were somebody around here that wouldn't cost a arm and leg in this life and the next that I could have taking it too. But hey, it's a learning experience
DSM... you lost me when you said "Then use the head unit rear outputs to channels 5 and 6 inputs of the DSP".. I could be crazy here but I hooked my head unit RCA Front output to 1 and 2 input of the DSP.. then my HU Rear Output to 3/4 input of the DSP.. I could be wrong.. Please explain.. where you get 5 and 6 inputs on the DSR?.or maybe i had to much Titos last night..
If thats how you have it, that works too. Just use channels 3&4 output of the DSR1 to the NVX inputs.
Just looked up the dsr1. Now i see why that was confusing. I knew the dsr1 was 8 channel, I assumed 8 in and 8 out. It's only 4 in and 8 out.
